DIR Qu Liang

Qu Liang, a national of the People's Republic of China, holds an M.Sc. in Agronomy from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. His former positions include: Deputy Director-General of the Institute for Application of Atomic Energy, Beijing, from 1991 to 1995; Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation and Industrial Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Beijing, from 1995 to 1998; Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to FAO, from 1998 to 2001; and Director-General, Department of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences from 2001 to 2005.
Effective 1 August 2005 Mr. Liang has been appointed as Director of the Joint FAO/IAEA Division.
