ReNuAL

Contributing to ReNuAL: In-Kind Contributions

  1. As in the monetary contribution process, the in-kind contribution process begins when a donor submits a pledge letter to the IAEA. This letter should be addressed to the DG, Mr Yukiya Amano, or to DDG-NA, Mr Aldo Malavasi, to Whom it may concern, or the IAEA and should include the following information:
    1. The name and contact details of the Member State or the organization making the donation;
    2. The name and details of the proposed designated owner, clearly identifying who is proposed to control the contribution (i.e. the IAEA or a specific organisational entity within the IAEA);
    3. A clear indication that the contribution will be made in-kind;
    4. A detailed listing of the goods-in-kind, if more than one item will be provided;
    5. The product identification code, product model, brand and item number sufficiently detailed to facilitate the IAEA's required internal valuation process;
    6. Anticipated date of availability of the goods to be provided;
    7. A basis for the donor's valuation of the contribution, if a valuation is provided (i.e. purchase price, market estimate, etc.); and
    8. The terms, conditions and proposed dates of transport of the item(s).
  2. The IAEA will then initiate the formal acceptance process for the contribution and respond to the initial pledge letter explaining the outcome of the acceptance process and potentially discussing terms and conditions.
  3. If it is known by the donor in advance that specific usage requirements or conditions are requires, a draft agreement may be sent in lieu of a pledge letter.
  4. Simultaneously, the IAEA will complete an internal valuation process for the contribution to estimate fair value. The contribution will be valued at the level determined by the IAEA to be a fair price.
  5. Pending the positive outcome of the acceptance process, the contribution may be shipped to and received by the IAEA, completing the contribution process.
