Success stories in Climate-Smart Management Practices

Climate-Smart Management Practices Biosaline agriculture and biofertilizer for improving crop productivity in salt- affected soils and for reducing the use of inorganic fertilizer and greenhouse gas emission (GHG) in agriculture in Member States.

Biosaline agricultural practices and biofertilizers have great potential for improving crop productivity in salt- affected soils and for reducing the use of inorganic fertilizer in agriculture and nitrous oxide emission, a greenhouse gas from farmlands in Member States.

Mrs. Fauzia Yusuf Hafeez of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Islabamad, Pakistan with 29 years of research experience on biosaline agriculture and biofertilizer management/production, has recently documented success stories of these two management tools in Pakistan.
