E1.30.25 Nitrate augmented myocardial imaging for assessment of myocardial viability
Overall Objective of the CRP:
To prospectively assess the role of nitrate-augmented Tc-99m-sestamibi myocardial SPECT in the evaluation of myocardial viability in patients with angiographically documented CAD and LV dysfunction who undergo coronary revascularization (CABG or PTCA) or receive medical therapy, in a multi-center study.
Specific Objectives of the CRP:
- To establish the accuracy of nitrate augmented myocardial SPECT for myocardial viability detection by using global and regional wall function improvement after revascularization as a gold standard.
- To analyze the prognosis of the patients who undergo revascularization compared to patients who will receive only medical therapy in whom viability is demonstrated by nitrate augmented SPECT.
