E1.30.26 Comparative evaluation of radiopharmaceuticals for Radiosynovectomy
Overall Objective of the CRP:
To improve the health care and quality of life of patients suffering from arthropathies due to rheumatoid arthritis or haemophiliac haemarthroses by standardizing and making available cost-effective radionuclide therapeutic procedures for widespread clinical clinical use. If the outcome of the CRP is successful, radiosynovectomy may become the first line of treatment in such patients.
Specific Objectives of the CRP:
- To conduct a comparative study of efficacy and toxicity of various radiopharmaceuticals for radiosynovectomy
- Medium to large joints (Re 186, 188, P32, Ho-166) , compared to Y90 control
- Small joints (Er-169, Sn-117m) (Provisional)
- To identify and recommend the most suitable and cost-effective agent(s) for radiosynovectomy
