ELECTRON BEAM ACCELERATOR SURVEY
The International Atomic Energy Agency (the IAEA) is compiling information on radiation processing facilities (service centres and pilot-scale facilities) using electron beam accelerators and high energy X-ray machines operating in Member States to publish a directory. By completing this questionnaire you will help to establish a good basis for this directory and contribute to this project's success.
The IAEA has several programmes related to industrial irradiation applications for the processing of various products, including those related to health care, pharmaceuticals, polymers and food, and applications associated with dosimetry and safety. Through its technical cooperation programme, the IAEA supports these activities in developing countries and helps them to build local capacity to implement various industrial applications of radiation processing. The IAEA also organizes and conducts training courses and workshops, provides individual training to personnel, and sends experts to facilities in Member States where help is needed. All these activities could be carried out much more efficiently and effectively if the IAEA had a directory of all the irradiation facilities in its Member States.
The directory of electron beam accelerator facilities is available on the IAEA website.
If your facility is not listed, please complete this questionnaire and email it to Ms Maria Helena de Oliveira Sampa (m.sampa@iaea.org ).
Should you have any further questions or wish to report any inaccuracies in the published data, please contact Ms Maria Helena de Oliveira Sampa or Mr Enrique Nacif (e.nacif@iaea.org ).
