PSC and PIU

Project Steering Committee (PSC)

The PSC will steer and provide guidance for project implementation, meeting at least once per year. Members will include National Country Focal Institutions, the Joint Authority, UNDP/GEF, IAEA, UNESCO and possibly other project partners.

Project Implementation Unit (PIU)

The implementation of project activities in the field will be managed by the PIU. It will fall under the supervision of a regional project coordinator, receive support from technical and administrative staff as well as international expertise as needed, and report to the PSC. The PIU is also responsible for establishing permanent institutional capacity for the coordination of the post-project implementation of the SAP developed under the project.
