This database contains 106 research reactors with a low utilisation rate distributed over 33 Member States.

The utilisation rate is determined by the Effective Weeks (EW=7days*24hours of operation) of utilisation per year. This database categorises research reactors as follows:

• low utilisation rate reactor (≤ 4 EW)
• medium utilisation rate reactor (>4 EW and ≤ 20 EW)
• high utilisation rate reactor (> 20 EW)
