With your support, PACT helps countries save lives and reduce suffering. While raising awareness about the looming cancer crisis in the developing world is one of our greatest challenges, PACT’s mission is to reduce cancer related deaths in low and middle income countries through comprehensive cancer control planning and management. This means cancer prevention, early diagnosis and treatment, and palliative care for patients with incurable cases.

PACT brings together an alliance of prestigious international organizations around common goals to provide resources and technical expertise to developing countries to design and implement cancer control programmes that will meet the special challenges of cancer in these countries.

How Your Donation Helps

Cancer Prevention

One third of all cancer cases can be prevented by raising public awareness. PACT funds activities to draw the attention of policymakers and public.

Cancer Screening and Early Detection

Another third of all cancer cases can be prevented through cancer screening programs and access to early detection. PACT and its alliance partners help countries to establish and improve their screening and detection systems.

Diagnosis and Treatment

PACT advocates the use of radiotherapy as an essential part of cancer treatment and to relieve pain in incurable cases. PACT also supports the transfer of radiation medicine technology and skills to developing countries through training, fellowships and the procurement of equipment.

Palliative Care & Support

For all cancer cases which are not curable PACT supports activities that utilize radiotherapy to alleviate suffering for patients with incurable cancer. Support also extends to families as the primary care givers.
